All specialist parts are hand made and produced at the Hereford workshop. The workshop is equipped with specialist Swiss made Schaublin and Boley lathes, and a Schaublin mill which is used for wheel and pinion cutting.
Care has to taken when making parts for antiques clocks. When making wheels and pinions for antique clocks there is a need to copy the original makers style to retain the historical integrity of the clock..
The original maker of the clock would have made his own tools such as wheel cutters and taps. Therefore when working on an antique clock tools have to be made for the clock, rather than altering an antique clock to suit the tool. I achieve this by either manufacturing my own cutters or making adaptations to modern ones.
Each antique clock part is unique and made to order.
A limited number of wheels and pinions are available from stock, Other clock parts such as barrels, cocks, bridges, racks etc can all be supplied to your specifications, below you will find examples of parts made.
